Chilled Ingredient Water with BHX Technology

Our new patent pending BHX Technology©, which stands for Balanced Heat Exchange, supplies a consistent volume and constant 33F to 34F temperature of chilled water for process batching operations without freezing refrigeration components while avoiding contamination risk. This provides provides enhanced Food Safety, Energy, and Environmental benefits with same or decreased installed cost compared with “traditional systems”. BHX Technology© as the name implies uses the synergies of various associated processes to create a system that actually “pays” for itself when compared to traditional systems with no comprise on performance.

Spiral Product Cooling Conditioning Systems

Our self-contained environmental system engineered for bread cooling applications manages temperature, humidity, and air movement providing consistent conditions. Food safety is enhanced through air filtration removing greater than 90% of mold spores, and pressurization control preventing contamination from infiltrating the enclosure and landing on unprotected product. Considering baked products spend more of their time exposed to atmosphere during the cooling process these measures help provide consistent quality product, reduced mold complaints, and less waste. Our systems achieve energy savings ranging from 50% to 90% compared to typical refrigeration systems and frequently even cost less to operate than ambient coolers using exhaust fans and make up air.

Waste Heat Recovery / Closed Loop Waste Energy Systems

Closed Loop Energy Systems (CLES) are typically defined as capturing “waste” from the production process and returning it as input energy to offset what a different process. In the food processing industry, significant potential is available by recovering the waste heat from ovens and oxidizers which may be sufficient to provide enough energy to support other hot or cold thermal requirements. It is not uncommon to see Greenhouse Gas emissions reduced by a 1,000-tons or more per year and energy savings will vary depending on various factors; however, in many cases, this can exceed $100,000 in high speed facilities that have both bread and bun lines. Maintenance costs are also dramatically reduced compared with steam systems along with no boiler chemical requirements.

Thermal Product Conditioning

Air Management Technologies provides additional environmental systems for both heating and cooling product. Proofing, Retarding, Blast Freezing, Fermentation, Kettles, and similar thermal process systems are available as both custom design and full turnkey solutions. Each system is designed with Food Safety and Product Quality as primary objectives with reduced energy usage, lower utilities requirements, and lowest possible operating costs also engineered into our systems. Whether it is steam, hot water, CO2, Ammonia, chemical refrigerants, or a combination thereof we have a Guaranteed Solution for your facility.

Central Glycol Refrigeration Systems

Featuring variable speed pumps and automatic flow regulation, Air Management Technologies has developed medium and low temperature glycol refrigeration systems capable of distributing 0F fluid for process end uses such as mixer refrigeration, coolers, and chilled ingredient water systems. Our design enhances chiller flexibility and optimizes system energy efficiency while retaining ease of maintenance from a centralized loop. Refrigerant choices for our packaged outdoor central glycol refrigeration systems include low charge ammonia, CO2, Ammonia/CO2 cascade, and chemical refrigerants R513A (new), R134A, and R410A providing you compliance with your company's environmental policy

New Facility Processes Supporting

Air Management Technologies has been providing full facility process supporting thermal and food safety environmental solutions in the Baking and Food Processing industry throughout North America for over twenty-five years. Our integrated suite of systems provides you Guaranteed Solutions for all hot and cold utilities, production conditioning, and industrial ventilation. Even many food construction contrators are not familiar with industry process reliability requirements and FSMA guidance in regards to equipment materials, sanitation requirements, building envelope, thermal bridging, and space pressurization in various production zones. Allow our experienced team to compliment your existing contractor and equipment vendors to ensure a long term and successful project.

Central Panel Cooling

Self-contained air conditioning units mounted on electric panels have long been a source of frustration due to their excessive energy consumption, high maintenance requirements, and questionable reliability. Additionally since equipment is located in production space where high dust concentrations and excessive ambient temperatures may be present, potential exists for the sensitive components inside the enclosure to be damaged. Air Management Technologies has developed a solution utilizing a Central Electric Panel Cooling System by providing conditioning equipment outside the hostile environment. Typical return on investment is usually less than 4-years considering operational expenses and system benefits.
