Spiral Product Cooling Conditioning Systems
Our self-contained environmental system engineered for bread cooling applications manages temperature, humidity, and air movement providing consistent conditions. Food safety is enhanced through air filtration removing greater than 90% of mold spores, and pressurization control preventing contamination from infiltrating the enclosure and landing on unprotected product. Considering baked products spend more of their time exposed to atmosphere during the cooling process these measures help provide consistent quality product, reduced mold complaints, and less waste. Our systems achieve energy savings ranging from 50% to 90% compared to typical refrigeration systems and frequently even cost less to operate than ambient coolers using exhaust fans and make up air.
Waste Heat Recovery / Closed Loop Waste Energy Systems
Closed Loop Energy Systems (CLES) are typically defined as capturing “waste” from the production process and returning it as input energy to offset what a different process. In the food processing industry, significant potential is available by recovering the waste heat from ovens and oxidizers which may be sufficient to provide enough energy to support other hot or cold thermal requirements.
It is not uncommon to see Greenhouse Gas emissions reduced by a 1,000-tons or more per year and energy savings will vary depending on various factors; however, in many cases, this can exceed $100,000 in high speed facilities that have both bread and bun lines. Maintenance costs are also dramatically reduced compared with steam systems along with no boiler chemical requirements.
